2024-2025 | GREENLAND Arctic Import ready to support growing trade and tourism With a new, advanced logistics center, Arctic Import is prepared to deliver goods faster and more efficiently to businesses, residents, and tourists across Greenland As a key supplier of goods and supplies to the Greenlandic market, Arctic Import is preparing to play a pivotal role in the coming years of growth. The wholesale company is already a central player in Greenland’s trade sector and is poised to become even busier as the country’s infra- structure continues to improve – further boosting tourism and both domestic and international trade. “We’re ready to support the flourish- ing tourism industry, starting in Nuuk with the opening of the new airport,” says Arctic Import’s Sales Director, Hen- rik Kronborg. “Today, we’re already an important partner for tourism operators, including hotels, restaurants, and tour operators. Now, we’re scaling our organization and logistics to meet increasing demand,” he adds. Arctic Import is also set to play a cru- cial role in the growing cruise industry, whether during short port calls or long- er turnarounds when ships restock sup- plies and change passengers, often staying docked for several days. The company’s efforts will extend beyond Nuuk, with increased capacity enabling it to support growth in tour- ism across Greenland. It will also deliver frozen and fresh goods to the many new restaurants and hotels needed to serve the rising number of visitors. New logistics center triples capacity Central to Arctic Import’s expansion is its new headquarters at Nuuk Harbor, expect- ed to triple its capacity to handle signifi- cantly larger volumes of goods. The goal is to optimize operations and deliver goods faster and more afford- ably to our customers,” he says. The facility will also include a large refrigerated storage area, enhancing the company’s ability to handle significant volumes of fresh produce, vegetables, and semi-finished goods.
